Joseph Magnus Triple Cask Finish - 750ml

Nose: Orange rind drizzled with light honey, along with a rush of ripe plums and other dark fruits, buttercream frosted cake, light leather, and the slightest hint of ethanol.

Palate: Cherry pie filling, vanilla, brown sugar, dark fruits, oak and leather. 

Finish: Green peppercorn, oak, leather, and a hint of tobacco leaf, dry oak with a slight hint of medicinal cherry 

A team of industry experts were inspired to recreate the original Joseph Magnus recipe from the 1890s, after discovering old bottles of and sampling some of the century-old pre-prohibition era bourbon. Using sourced 8 to 9-year old bourbon from MGP in Indiana, the Jos. A. Magnus & Co. distillery then triple-cask finishes the bourbon in used oloroso sherry, Pedro Ximenez sherry, and cognac casks.
